To get your Trezor device up and running, follow these steps:

1. Unboxing and Preparation:

  • Open the packaging of your Trezor device.

  • Ensure that you have the Trezor device, USB cable, and any other included accessories.

  • Have a computer or mobile device ready and connected to the internet.

2. Connect Your Trezor Device:

  • Plug one end of the USB cable into your Trezor device.

  • Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer or mobile device.

3. Visit trezor.io/start:

  • Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device and go to trezor.io/start.

4. Choose Your Device:

  • On the Trezor Start page, select the model of your Trezor device (e.g., Trezor One, Trezor Model T).

5. Install Trezor Bridge (if needed):

  • Depending on your operating system, you may need to install Trezor Bridge, a software component that enables communication between your computer and the Trezor device.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Trezor Bridge if necessary.

6. Install Trezor Firmware (if needed):

  • If your Trezor device requires a firmware update, you'll be prompted to install it.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate and complete the firmware update process.

7. Create a New Wallet or Recover an Existing One:

  • If you're setting up your Trezor device for the first time, you'll need to create a new wallet:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to generate a new seed phrase using your Trezor device's display.

    • Write down the seed phrase on the provided recovery sheet and store it securely.

    • Confirm the seed phrase on your Trezor device to complete the setup process.

  • If you're recovering an existing wallet:

    • Select the "Recover Wallet" option and enter your recovery seed phrase when prompted.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process.

8. Set Up PIN and Label:

  • After creating or recovering your wallet, you'll be prompted to set up a PIN for added security.

  • Choose a PIN using the device's touchscreen interface and confirm it.

  • Optionally, you can label your device to distinguish it from other Trezor devices you may own.

9. Access Your Wallet:

  • Once the setup process is complete, you'll be redirected to the Trezor Wallet interface.

  • From here, you can manage your cryptocurrency assets, send and receive transactions, and explore additional features offered by Trezor.

10. Safely Disconnect Your Trezor Device:

  • When you're finished using your Trezor device, make sure to safely disconnect it from your computer or mobile device.

  • Follow any on-screen prompts to safely eject the device or disconnect the USB cable.
